You will join an existing team that supports the Private Bank and Private Client Services Private Investments Website, Alternative Investments Due Diligence and Legal Suitability Database. The Private Investments Website is a servlet driven website that requires small enhancements, maintenance and performance tuning. The Alternative Investments Due Diligence and Legal Suitability Database applications are functions that exist in the Private Bank's Portal. As part of this team you will work to maintain and performance tune the Private Investments Website and enhance the Alternative Investments Due Diligence and Legal Suitability Database functions via IBM Portal 6.0. This application will leverage straight JDBC Sybase and web service calls to retrieve data at runtime. Responsibilities include development of pages, portlets, setting up navigation, layouts and entitlements on the portal server. Person will work on performance and tuning of the web-tier components using tools like Introscope, RAD Profiler etc. You will be working with UI standards and Portal standards group and use tools like PMD to ensure the team is adhering to the standards.

Requirements |
Required Qualifications:
o
Bachelors Degree
o Strong Communication Skills (both written and oral)
o 5yrs+ Java/J2EE Development & deployment
· Experience on IBM WebSphere Portal Server. Experience in Themes and Skins, Portlets & creating Resources. Hands on experience in building war files and deploying in portal server.
· Unix Shell scripting experience.
· Experience in using RAD6 or Eclipse IDE.
· Knowledge of Subversion or CVS source code control systems.
· Web Development (JSP/Servlets) experience
· HTML/Java Script/CSS familiarity
Additional Skills:
· Familiarity with Cruise Control & Maven build automation and deployment tools.
· Strong Technical Documentation Skills
· Experience with JSR168/Portlet development.
· SQL experience on Sybase or DB2 databases.
